If I say that my somewhat extravagant imagination yielded simultaneous pictures of an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature, I shall not be unfaithful to the spirit of the thing. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings... It represented a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind. This thing, which seemed instinct with a fearsome and unnatural malignancy, was of a somewhat bloated corpulence..." ~ H.P. Lovecraft, "The Call of Cthulhu"

Awesome, I love how the glowing blue and purple points really stand out. And just Cthulhu art in general I do enjoy.

Amazing. You handle the dark colors very well( I at least find them difficult), and the level of details is just...well, amazing. There are many impressive parts in this picture, but I like especially the way you did the ocean. Very realistic, and you handle the shades of grey and black fantasticly.
awesome monster

All hail he who is not dead but dreaming!

This is the most unique interpertation of Cthulhu I've ever seen. It sort of reminds me of a biotech submersible... like a crossbreed between the Nautilus and a cuttlefish. I like the luminescent spots (especially the ones beneath the waves), very unique element as well. Your version seems like it would be almost viable as a real lifeform.

Wow, such an...atrocious looking monster with eerily glow from it's multiple eyes~ Not to mention the use of water~ I think it looks amazing! :D :fav:
I have never heard of this character/creature... what or who is it and what is its importance?

Fantastic - I love the little glowy purple lights. Ol' Deep One is looking a little grumpy, though... looks like his last meal didn't go down so well. :(
